Introduction
Makalu and Kanchenjunga both the regions are located in the Eastern Nepal. Both these regions have derived their name from the highest mountains in the Eastern Nepal, Makalu 8,475m and Kanchenjunga 8,598m of which the latter is the third highest mountain in the world. This is one of the most remote and unfrequented trekking areas of Nepal. This region is the place of Makalu Barun National Park which was established in 1992 as Nepal’s eight national park. This region is subject to all the rules relating entry fee of US $ 10, fees for video cameras and restriction on firewood. The nearest airstrip in this region is Tumlingtar.

Itinerary
Upon arrival in Kathmandu a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to your Hotel by car.
Fly Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and trek to Khandbari. Overnight in camp.
Trek Khandbari to Fururu.
Trek Fururu to Num.
Trek Num to Sinduwa.
Trek Sinduwa to Tashigaon.
Trek Tashigaon to Kauma.
Trek Kauma to Mumbuk.
Trek Mumbuk to Neh Kharka.
Trek Neh Kharka to Serson.
Trek Serson to Makalu Base Camp.

Base Camp to Neh Kharka
Trek Neh Kharka to Mum buk.
Trek Mumbuk to Kauma.
Trek Kauma to Tashigaon.

Trek Bumling to Tunlingtar.
Fly Tumlingtar to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.
