Khumbu- The Everest Region
Everest region is the top-most popular trekking region in Nepal and each year this region receives thousands of trekkers and climbers. Once you reach Solukhumbu, the gateway to Everest, you will be greeted by great stunning views of the Everest and many other highest mountains. The other highlights of this region are the beautiful Sherpa villages and monasteries.
For most of the trekkers, the primary goal is the Everest Base Camp which is at an elevation of 5,340m. Once you reach Everest base camp, you will continue to trek for another few hours to reach Kalapathar (5,545m) for the best views of Everest.
